Terms and Conditions:

  • This warranty is confined to first purchaser of the product only.
  • Warranty period is validated from date of purchase of the unit and can only be availed if the valid proof of purchase and warranty card is shown to Authorized Service Personnel at the time of repairs. Customers are therefore required to keep original invoice and warranty card safely. Repair or replacement will be carried out by company’s service centre or it’s authorized service associates.
  • For all units installed beyond the municipal limits of the jurisdiction of the company service centre/authorized service associate, the expenses incurred with regards to deputing the service personnel towards to & fro travel, conveyance and other incidentals will be borne by customer.
  • In the event of repair/replacement of any part/s of the unit, this warranty will thereafter continue and remain in force only for the un-repaired period of warranty. Moreover, the time taken for repair/ replacement and in transit, whether under the warranty or otherwise shall not be excluded from the warranty period.
  • The company and its authorized service centre reserves the right to retain any part/s or component/s replaced at its discretion in the event of a defect noticed in the product during the warranty period.
  • Company may at its discretion replace the faulty part (s) with functionally new operative part(s).
  • In case of any damage to the product / customer abuse/ repairs by un-authorized personnel/ misuse detected/ by the Authorized Service Center personnel, the warranty conditions are not applicable and repairs will be done subject to availability of parts and on a chargeable basis only.
  • Replacement of parts would be purely at the discretion of Hindware alone. In case the replacement of the entire unit is being made, (subject to the sole discretion of Hindware), the same model shall be replaced and in the event such model has been discontinued, it shall be replaced with the model of price equivalent at the time of purchase.
  • If any colored internal or external components are replaced, there will be no commitment to ensure that the shades match with the original or other components. The replaced shades, patterns, tints may vary from the customer’s unit due to continuous usage of the unit. Any matching components changed at customer’s request will be on chargeable basis except the component which actually needed.
  • Damage of any product or parts thereof due to any of the following causes will not be covered under this warranty.
  • User’s or it’s agent’s misuse, negligence, accident or faulty installation
  • Improper maintenance of the product by not abiding by the HSIL’s printed Instructions Manual/Customer Guidelines.
  • Dirt, lime-scale or aggressive cleaning chemicals.
  • Unauthorized alterations to the products.
  • Normal wear & tear.
  • While the company will make every effort to carry out repairs at the earliest, it however is made expressly clear that the company is under no obligation to do so in a specified period of time.
  • This warranty shall not cover any consequential or resulting liability, damage or loss to property or life arising directly or indirectly out of any defect in the Hindware Products. The company’s obligation under this warranty shall be limited to repair or providing replacement of defective parts only under the warranty period.
  • The warranty does not cover demonstration/installation of the product purchased.
  • The warranty doesn’t cover components like Washer, Rubbers, Springs and other Plastic Items.
  • The warranty does not cover any accessories external to the product. After completion on one year, in case/s other than manufacturing defects are found in Hindware Products, standard labour and parts charges will be collected from customers, as per prevailing rates of the company.
  • In case of any dispute, this warranty is subject to jurisdiction of Gurgaon Courts only.

This warranty is not applicable in following cases:

  • Proof of purchase, invoice in Original and/or Warranty Card is not shown to company authorized service personnel at the time of repair. In such cases service will still be rendered however it will be on chargeable basis as per the standard rates of labor and/or parts (as the case may be), prevailing at that point of time.
  • Repair work is carried out by person/agency other than the authorized company personnel or the product is not installed/used according to the instructions given in instruction/installation manual.
  • Site conditions, where the product is installed, does not confirm to the recommended operating conditions of Hindware Products.
  • Defect caused by improper use, as determined by the company authorized service personnel.
  • Defect is caused due to cause beyond control like lightning, acts of God, abnormal water supply/pressure or while in transit from dealer’s outlet to purchaser’s residence.
  • Damage to the product or any part/s due to transportation or shifting is not covered by warranty.
  • This warranty will automatically terminate on the expiry of the warranty period even if the product may not be in use for any time during the warranty period for any reason.
    For Hindware products sold in India, only this warranty document is applicable and any reference to any other warranty document will not be considered. This is Hindware’s exclusive written warranty.

Customer Guidelines

  • To ensure uninterrupted pressure of water, it is advisable to keep the pipelines straight with minimum number of bends, which will support smooth flow of water.
  • All the supply lines must have vent pipes. These vent pipes help in removing air-locking in the water supply to give a smooth flow of water from the fittings.
  • Use 25 mm pipeline rather than 20 mm which will help in overcoming scaling inside the pipelines and will allow sufficient space for the water to flow.
  • Prior to plastering or fixing tiles, test the working of all the installed concealed fittings on a high pressure to check for leakage insert, if any.
  • Clean the aerators provided in the items at regular intervals for a perfect foam flow of water from the fittings.
  • Place the outlet point in the overhead tank at least 25 cm above the ground level of the tank. This prevents the flow of foreign particles, sand etc., along with water supply into the fittings and thereby prevents the possible damage to the working parts. Clean the tank thoroughly before the supply starts. It is suggested that the overhead tank must be cleaned at regular intervals to avoid inflow of foreign particles.
  • Clean the fittings regularly with normal soap or chalk powder to remove scaling or stains. Do not use strong detergents as this may cause damage to the chromium finish used on all HSIL products.
  • Do not use harsh cleaning agents containing abrasives and acid. Instead, use a soft sponge or wet cloth with soapy water or diluted vinegar to protect the colour coated finish.
  • To protect the fine finish of fittings from dirt, stains and other damages during construction, cover them with cloth or polypack after their installation, till they come into actual use.
  • It is suggested that centre to centre distance from Hot & Cold inlet for all types of wall mounted mixtures should be maintained at 150+/-10 mm where any of our wall mixers from different ranges can be easily installed without any problem.
  • Buy HSIL products from company’s Authorised Dealers only to ensure genuine quality material.
  • Insist on genuine spares from company’s Local Service Centre or its Authorised Stockist in case of any repair or replacement.
  • Please strictly follow the instructions manual provided for individual items in their packing boxes for their correct installation & maintenance.
  • Look for Hindware logo on all HSIL products.
  • For any type of technical or service assistance, please contact the nearest HSIL branch Office, Area Representative or Dealer.
  • In all Showers & Health Faucets, a sieve is provided to prevent dirt and foreign particles. The presence of this sieve must be ensured during installation.
  • In case of conflict of opinion, the final decision should be vested with HSIL.

Customers are therefore required to keep the original invoice and warranty card of product safely. The company shall make its best endeavour to provide onsite warranty services but due to unavoidable/exceptional circumstances the product may be required for offsite inspection at Company’s service centre/Service Centre of company’s authorized service associate.
  • For all units installed beyond the municipal limits of the jurisdiction of the company’s service centre/Service Centre of company’s authorized service associate, the expenses incurred with regards to deputing the service personnel towards to & fro travel, conveyance and other incidental expenses etc. will be borne by customer.
  • In the event of repair/replacement of any part/s of the unit, this warranty will thereafter continue and remain in force only for unexpired period of warranty. Moreover, the time taken for repair/replacement in transit, whether under the warranty or otherwise shall not be excluded from the warranty period.
  • The company and its authorized service centre/authorized service associate reserves the right to retain any part/s or component/s replaced at its discretion in the event of a defect noticed in the product during the warranty period.
  • Replacement of parts would be purely at the discretion of Hindware Ltd. alone. In case the replacement of the entire unit is being made, (subject to the sole discretion of Hindware Ltd.), the same model shall be replaced and in the event such model has been discontinued, it shall be replaced with the model of price equivalent at the time of purchase.
  • The company will make every effort to carry out repairs at the earliest within a reasonable period of time. However it is expressly clear that the company is under no obligation to do so in a specified period of time.
  • This warranty shall not cover any consequential or resulting liability, damage or loss to property or life arising directly or indirectly out of any defect in the product. The company’s obligation under this warranty shall be limited to repair or providing replacement of defective parts/product only under the warranty period.
  • The warranty does not cover any accessories external to the product. After completion of warranty period, in case of any defect, standard part charges will be charged from customer as per prevailing rates of the company. 10. In case of any dispute, this warranty is subject to Gurugram courts only.

This warranty is not applicable in the following cases:

In such cases, service will still be rendered however it will be on chargeable basis as per the standard rates of labours and/or parts (as the case may be), prevailing at that point of time.
  • The product is not installed/ used according to the instruction given in instruction/installation manual.
  • Site conditions, where the product is installed, does not confirm to the recommended operating conditions of product as specified in the instruction manual of the product (supplied along with the product).
  • Defect(s) caused by improper use & negligent handling, as determined by the company.
  • Defect is caused due to the cause beyond reasonable control like lightning, acts of god, abnormal water supply/pressure or while in transit from dealer’s outlet to purchaser’s residence.
  • This warranty will automatically terminate on the expiry of the warranty period, even if the product may not be in use for any time during the warranty period for any reason.

Inclusions

  • Main PCB, touch PCB/push button, Autoclean heating element, hydraulic motor, blower (both metallic and plastic), blower housing and any manufacturing defect are covered under comprehensive warranty.
  • For the first year, all service visits by an authorized technician for manufacturing defects are free. After the first year, you will be charged for service visits, but any spare parts covered under warranty will be provided at no cost.

Exclusions

  • Warranty does not cover consumables like bulbs/LED, switches/knobs, charcoal filters, outer body, metal/Glass/Plastic parts, Filter locks, etc. of the chimney.
  • The warranty excludes any damage to the surface paint or finish of the product that happens due to normal usage of the product.
  • Not operating the chimney as per the instruction as well as usage manual/ guidelines as issued by the Company. Defects caused by improper or reckless use are not covered.
  • Any damages due to the use of abrasive chemicals, or usage in extremely adverse atmosphere, i.e., abnormally corrosive / alkaline / acidic, is not covered under warranty.
  • The warranty will not cover Chimneys used for commercial purposes.
  • To keep your chimney's warranty valid, you must have it serviced annually by an authorized service center of Company. The customer is responsible for the service cost.
  • The warranty is not valid for any damages arising due to erratic power supply.
  • The warranty is not valid in case chimney is used on Inverter or Generator.
  • The warranty doesn't include the regular servicing of the product.

General Terms and Conditions

  • To avail warranty on product and motor it is mandatory for the products to be registered within the period of 90 days from the date of purchase.
  • The copy of the legit bill as well as other documents shall be presented by the customer to the technician at the time of making the claim.
  • No installation / modification / alteration / service of any nature is made in the chimney by unauthorized persons. The Installation Charges are to be borne by the customer. Only the parts covered under the Inclusions will be replaced free. The labour charges for the replacement of under warranty parts will be borne by the customer.
  • Installation charges: Wall mount chimney - Rs. 500 + GST 18%, Island chimney - Rs. 2000 + GST 18% (subject to change from time to time).
  • Warranty starts from Date of Purchase and not from Date of usage / Installation.
  • To & Fro travel charge & other incidentals will be levied to customer if the area is out of municipal limits or in areas where the authorised personnel of the Company is not available.
  • This warranty does not cover damages due to alterations, unauthorized repairs, tampering or alteration of any part, failure to follow instruction or operation, misuse or negligence in use of the chimney or damages caused by act of god, lightning, fire or flood.
  • This warranty does not cover defects resulting from accidents or damage while in transit or during transfer to our service centres.
  • The warranty will not cover normal wear and tear of the parts.
  • The warranty will not cover damages related to chipping, peeling, plating and denting.
  • Defective chimney along with the valid warranty card and purchase bill has to be produced at the dealer or to the authorized and designated service centre for availing warranty offers.
  • Whether defective item or components are to be replaced / repaired shall be left to the sole discretion of Hindware Home Innovation Limited ("the Company"). In case of replacement of a part, the defective part removed from the chimney becomes the exclusive property of Hindware Home Innovation Limited.
  • The unit must be installed and operated strictly as per specifications given in the Installation Manual provided along with the product.

The warranty shall be void in cases where:

  • The unit is installed, opened, tampered or serviced by a person other than our authorized representative.
  • Damage to the equipment caused due to abnormalities in the power supply.
  • Any modification or structure changes are made to the appliance or if the appliance is not used as per operating standards specified for the product.
  • Annual servicing by an authorized service center is not done. The customer is responsible for the service cost.
  • Any damage / defects occurs because of improper electrical circuits/ inadequate electricity supply outside the appliance.
  • Any substandard detergent, rinse aid, salt has been used to clean the appliance.
  • Broken seals or that show evidence of tampering.
  • Mismatched board serial numbers.
  • Non-conforming or non-Hindware Smart Appliances housings, filters, spares or parts.
  • Improper operation, storage, misuse or abuse, accident or neglect, such as physical damage (cracks, scratches, rusts, breakage of glass etc.) to the surface of the product resulting from misuse/storage.
  • In ducting mode, if the chimney duct is used for exhausting fumes of other appliance/gadgets.
  • Contact with liquid, water, rain, extreme humidity or exposure to acidic atmosphere, Sand, dirt or the like, extreme heat or food.
  • Use of the product for commercial purposes or at places like institutions, hospitals, community halls, hotels, canteens, cafeteria's and other similar applications.
  • Attack of pests / rodents / birds making nests in the duct pipe or other acts which are not the fault of Hindware Smart Appliances.
  • Using of duct pipe not matching with outlet diameter.
  • The use of non-Hindware Smart Appliances branded products, recommended accessories, spares or other peripheral equipment.
  • Unauthorized service or modification by someone other than Hindware Smart Appliances or its authorized service centres.
  • Any electronic part gets damaged due to erratic power supply or improper electrical circuit.
  • Accidents caused due to non-maintenance of the product. Fire in kitchen hoods due to non-cleaning of filters.
  • Accidents resulting from improper/ incorrect installation.
  • Charcoal filters directly exposed to flame of cooktop / hob.
  • Customer failing to read the right usage of the product from the user's manual or failing to understand standard features of the product.
  • Wrong installation, gap between base of kitchen hood and top of Cook top/ Built in Hob not maintained as mentioned in instruction Manual.

Note: The company will not be responsible for delay in services of the appliance or complaint resolution if it is due to reasons beyond its control. If the serial number appearing on the equipment is defaced or not legible, the company shall have the right to discontinue the warranty with immediate effect. These products are not for use by children. Any dispute subject to Gurugram jurisdiction only.

Warranty Terms & Conditions

  • To get the extended warranty benefits on chimney you must have it serviced annually by an authorised service center of company on chargeable basis.
  • The Extended warranty shall be valid for a period of 2 years after standard comprehensive warranty of selected product. For standard warranty of Chimney models please refer to www.hindware.com
  • Payments need to be paid in advance at the time of signing the contract by the customer & it will become effective only on realization of payment.
  • In case the customer wants to cancel the contract before the completion of the contract period, the Company shall not be liable for refunding the charges for the remaining tenure of the contract.
  • No services will be provided during National/State public holidays & any other holiday declared by Union Govt./State Govt./UT.
  • The Company's liability under this contract is to provide services, Spare Parts covered, and the company will not be liable for damages.
  • This Extended warranty does not include any kind of software support or Re/De installations. The Company shall not be responsible for damage to, or loss of, any programs, data or removable storage media including any consequential loss or damage.
  • The Company does not cover third-party accessories, like duct pipes, that are sold with the product or purchased separately.
  • The Extended warranty is neither terminable before the expiry period nor transferable in the event of resale / gift to any other person.
  • The Company's liability under this Extended warranty is limited to providing services and replacement of necessary parts as covered under this extended warranty. The spare parts required to rectify the appliances could be either new spare parts or conditioned spare parts to be decided at the sole direction of the company.
  • The Company shall not be held liable for any delay in providing services due to flood, fire, wars, hostilities, epidemic, riots, acts of God, governmental actions or restrictions, civil commotion, strike, lockout, labour trouble, explosion, or any cause beyond reasonable control.
  • With regard to repairing the existing worn-out / defective part(s) or replacing the same and ascertaining the presence of above circumstances, the decision of Company shall be final.
  • Disputes if any will be subjected to Gurgaon jurisdiction only. The validity, interpretation and performance of this Extended warranty shall be governed by the laws of India.
  • Pricing, terms and conditions of this Extended Warranty are subject to change without any notice.

Covered Under Warranty Period

  • Manufacturing defects & as covered under standard warranty will be rectified free of charge during the extended warranty period.
  • Spare parts covered under extended warranty: Main PCB, touch PCB/push button, Autoclean heating element, hydraulic motor (For Inclined models only).
  • Technician visits for product assistance within the standard warranty and extended warranty period are free. This does not cover re/installation, re-demonstration, uninstallation, or servicing.
  • The extended warranty is valid only if the product is installed by an authorized service center.

Not Covered Under Warranty Period

  • If installation, service, repairs, or modifications are performed by unauthorized persons.
  • If the serial number of the product or its components is removed, altered, or tampered with.
  • Damage due to misuse, negligence, accidents, pests, rodents, acts of God (lightning, floods, fires, earthquakes), or use of non-genuine parts.
  • Damage caused by improper external circuits, erratic power supply, or electrical short circuits.
  • Operation in corrosive environments or use of harmful chemicals.
  • Change of ownership or if the appliance is taken out of the country.
  • Defects occurring during transit to or from the service center.
  • Commercial or professional use of the product.
  • Plastic, LED, lamps, rubber, metal, aesthetic parts, rust, filters, discoloration, wear & tear, consumables, glass and heating element are not covered.

The Extended Warranty Shall Not Cover Visits Under The Following Circumstances

  • Damage caused to the equipment due to floods, fire, accident, riot, breakage, pest, misuse, improper or negligent use etc.
  • Damage caused to the equipment due to failure to observe the operating instructions and precautions as mentioned in the user's manual.
  • Defects occurred due to usage of local or non-recommended spares.
  • Visits for customers re-training or for re-installation at a different/same location.
  • Defects or failures resulting from servicing or repair done by a person other than the Authorized Service Representative of the Company.
  • Failure of Product due to voltage fluctuations.
  • Defects occurs due to abnormal usage or misuse.
  • Damage arising out of shifting the appliances from one place to another and falling from its original position.

TO OBTAIN WARRANTY SERVICE

  • Owner must have proof of original purchase (invoice/filled warranty card) available at the time of installation/service in order to obtain service under warranty
  • All Hindware appliances are covered under warranty against any functional defect during warranty period.

PARTS AND SERVICE WARRANTY

  • During warranty period, Hindware will provide free of charge repair/replacement of functional spare parts.
  • During comprehensive warranty period, no service/repair charge will be applicable.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY

  • Damage resulting from accident, alteration, misuse, fire, flood, acts of God etc.
  • Damage or failure caused by modification of the product or use of non-genuine parts which are not approved by Hindware.
  • Hindware will not be liable for any damages, death, injuries, health or any consequential damages of whatsoever nature to any person or property by use or operation of the Product. Maximum liability (direct and indirect) of Hindware will be limited to the amount paid by the Customer at the time of purchase.
  • Damage or failure to the product caused by operator mishandling.
  • Repairs to the product by unauthorized repair center or person.
  • Damage or failure to the product caused by dwelling fuse replacement, power voltage fluctuation or resetting of circuit breakers etc.
  • Damage or failure caused by use of product in a commercial application.
  • Service trips to dwelling to provide use or installation guidance.
  • Warranty will get void if Hindware product installation is being done by unauthorized service center.
  • Rubber, Plastic, glass, consumable parts, metal parts etc. (until specified)
  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Masonry, concrete and wooden work required at the time of installation.
  • Any external parts, not a part of standard product kit.
  • Part replaced on chargeable basis.

Note – Hindware shall not be held liable for any delay in the providing services as described under these Terms and Conditions due to flood, fire, wars, hostilities, riots, act of God, governmental (Central or State) actions or restrictions or orders, civil commotion, strike, lockout, labour trouble, explosion, any other force majeure circumstances or any because that is beyond the reasonable control of the Company, and shall not be liable to pay any monetary compensation or otherwise for the same.
